Artist's Comments

For Hallowe'en I was Holly Golightly. You know, Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany's. Anyway, after that I found myself totally obsessed with Audrey Hepburn and her beauty, and presence, and image. I pulled out my trusty Karsh Portraits book and did this.

P.S. I'm over her now.

Lovely, her eye-lashes are almost pretenious but you wouldn't know it till she left and you thought about that minute for the next week.

I think she looks like Penelope' Cruz.. who I think is absolutely stunning! Oh my goodness! But Audrey Hepburn is equally as great!

awesome drawing. soft and yet powerful w/ alot of expression. you dont outline which is something i always accidently tend to do... i wish the darks were a bit darker, its hard to get those but if you draw on heavy drawing paper w/ an 8b you can get almost solid blacks. very talented artist, keep at the drawings and post some more...

You know... it's funny.

I drew this one maybe some 17 years ago. I don't have the original anymore.

But I'm happy to see this one. It brings me back so many good memories and a smile to my frown. Thank you for this litle sunhine ray on this shadowed day...

Said Hamlet to Ophelia,
I'll draw a sketch of thee,
What kind of pencil shall I use?
2B or not 2B?

You know what? every time i see this, i am still amazed by what you have done with it. And on top of that i think that Audrey Hepburn must be the prettiest (and skinniest) woman who ever lived. Well, besides the beauty of YOUR features... So you know.. Which church would you prefer to get married at? or are you into the outdoorsy\free spirity stuff? (i am).
